Private ultrasound services with our expert Radiologist at Berkshire Grove Hospital
Using advanced screening technology, we offer a private ultrasound service with wait times of no longer than 4 weeks for your peace of mind.
Our ultrasound service upholds our commitment to outstanding patient care
Radiology offers precise images of the current internal structures of your body, which can then be used to more accurately diagnose and ascertain the cause of any unusual pain, or worrisome lumps and bumps. Ultrasound is a specific form of radiology that uses an ultrasonic waves machine through jelly applied to the target area. Unlike x-ray or CT scans, there is no ionising radiation involved, which means it is not harmful to have ultrasounds as often as you need.
Our expert ultrasound specialist Dr Hebah Taufik can support you in early detection of growths, or abnormalities relating to breast implants, marking the difference between preventative and reactive health care and assuring your peace of mind.
Our in-house ultrasound also supports our pre-operative care, particularly in diagnosing and planning breast surgery, and for precise monitoring of healing in post-operative care.
We uphold expert practices, and a selection of our breast-specific surgeries and biopsies are also performed assisted by ultrasound to ensure excellent results.

We offer specific and general private ultrasound services
Within our ultrasound speciality we offer a general ultrasound to diagnose and monitor conditions, or a specialised ultrasound to more closely assess structure and function prior to surgery.
We believe no lump, bump or worrisome pain should be dismissed and we’re happy to offer ultrasound assessment of unusual pain or protrusions in your arms and legs.
Breast sonography can evaluate abnormalities, assess changes, or guide a biopsy. We can also measure post-operative breast implant issues.
Abdominal sonography can evaluate the condition of abdominal organs and the root of unusual pain
Testicular ultrasound can determine the root cause of unusual lumps or masses.
Our core value is your peace of mind; even if you’re not having surgery in our care, we encourage you to self-refer to our quality ultrasound facilities to diagnose or assess unusual lumps, bumps, hernias or pain.
Directly after your appointment our expert radiologist, Dr Hebah Taufik, will offer you verbal feedback along with both internal and external recommendations and resources for further support.
You can self-refer for ultrasound at Berkshire Grove Hospital
Berkshire Grove Ultrasound is a caring and expert experience
After your self-referral, GP referral, or otherwise, we’ll call you to establish a suitable appointment. Our friendly staff will also provide you with clarity and confidence over your procedure, and support you with any necessary preparation (for example, this could include 6hrs of fasting prior to an abdominal examination).
We will make every effort to offer you a prompt appointment. Your appointment will last 30 minutes and during this time Dr Taufik will go through your medical history and health concerns. We know the process can be daunting, and you’re encouraged to ask any questions that you may have.
It’s important to note that ultrasound frequency cannot penetrate through clothing, so to proceed with the examination, you will be asked to remove your clothes. For your comfort, there will always be a chaperone in the room with yourself and Dr Hebah Taufik.
We know that waiting for results can be stressful, so we ensure you receive immediate verbal feedback. During this post-procedure feedback you will be offered individualised next-steps, resources and both internal and external recommendations.
In the days following your appointment with us, you will receive a full detail written report with care points and personal guidance.
