Mr Wallace is a highly trained sub-specialist Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon who offers a full range of modern Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

From 2014 to 2021, he was the lead Consultant Head and Neck Reconstruction Specialist at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital and at Torbay Hospital in the Head and Neck Cancer Multidisciplinary Team providing services to Devon and Somerset.

He is now a full-time specialist Consultant Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon based in Devon and also now in Berkshire, which is where his patients can travel more easily to see him from around the country.

Academic Background and Training

Mr Wallace was educated at Tonbridge School, Kent, and the University of Edinburgh Medical School. He qualified in 2000 with Bachelor Degrees in Medicine, Surgery, and in Science with Honours. He was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2004. His Plastic Surgery training began in Edinburgh and continued in the prestigious Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.

In 2005, he was competitively selected for Microsurgery Fellowship at the renowned Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan, where he was personally trained by the world-famous Plastic Surgeon, Professor Fu-Chan Wei, and achieved his Masters degree with medal. He returned to England in 2008 for further Specialist Plastic Surgery training and gained Fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Plastic Surgery in 2012. He undertook subspecialist fellowships encompassing complex plastic surgery for face, nose, head and neck, craniofacial and aesthetic plastic surgery. In 2014, Mr Wallace was appointed Consultant Plastic,

Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, with an Honorary Consultant appointment at Torbay Hospital. He led the Plastic Surgery service for facial, head and neck reconstruction, providing special expertise in microsurgery to reconstruct complex defects caused by cancer treatment and trauma affecting any part of the body. In 2021, Mr Wallace became a full-time private Consultant Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon specialising in aesthetic surgery for the breasts, body and face.

Mr Wallace is extensively published (120 peer-reviewed papers; 3000 international citations; 16 textbook chapters), lectures internationally and has won national and international prizes for his work. His academic track record was acknowledged by the University of Exeter Medical School with an Honorary Senior Clinical Lectureship.

He has served on several Editorial Boards for Plastic Surgery Journals and served as a quality outcomes reviewer for “Smile Train”, the world’s largest cleft lip/palate charity.
