Dr Peter Florida-James graduated from Bristol University and trained as a GP in Banbury and Oxford, where he was involved in setting up one of the first cardiac rehabilitation exercise schemes in the country.

He undertook additional training in the field of Public Health and subsequently worked as a consultant in Health Promotion in Birmingham on the Healthy Birmingham 2000 project.

Later in his career, he returned to General Practice and further developed his interest in Sports Medicine, which lead to him joining the Queens Park Rangers FC in 2005.

Dr Peter Florida-James served as a musculoskeletal doctor in the armed services MIAC clinics. Alongside this, he has been an attending doctor to the Cirque de Soleil troupe and supported a Premier League Hockey Club.

In recent years, Dr Peter Florida-James has established a private practice serving visiting foreign aristocrats in the UK.
